Private Training

For All Fitness Levels

Innergy Works Private Training is customized to each client’s needs and level of fitness. A one hour session, Pilates based, could include Reformer, suspension training, medicine balls, straps, stability balls, dumbbells, or agility training. Each session is tailored around client needs with a goal of expanding abilities.

Private Training

Private training provides personalized guidance for those trying to reach their potential by learning new techniques, finding their motivation, and pushing ahead to a healthier future. Innergy Works is here to support you, no matter what your level of fitness.

Valerie will work to build a program tailored to your specific needs. Training sessions could be mat or reformer based, and/or functional.

All of our training, even the functional training, is Pilates based, because it begins with the breath.

Build your Powerhouse with Pilates

If practiced with consistency, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength, and develops control and endurance in the whole human body. Your muscles are longer and stronger. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.

Pilates’ system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginners to advanced. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises.

The Reformer

The Reformer was the first Pilates machine invented by Joseph Pilates to enable physical therapy for injured soldiers during WWI and is still the standard today, though much evolved. This machine facilitates total body strength and flexibility. Resistance is provided by springs and cables and a traveling carriage over a platform.

  • Working with a client on the Reformer

The Reformer conditions those new to Pilates or core training over a period of time, thus allowing for the mat experience to be possible in the future.

On the other hand, a currently fit person can only be enhanced in both flexibility and core by a continually challenging Reformer exercise.

The Mat

Mat training is an exercise technique created by Joseph Pilates that is specifically designed to bring the body into muscular balance. We infuse calisthenic exercises with yoga poses to create a physique that is both long and strong.

Small equipment such as small to medium weights, Pilates rings, straps, and/or small balls up to a stability ball are used to further facilitate the balanced body objective.

Mats are available for your use, but you’re welcome to bring your own. There are cleaning products available to wipe down mats.

Functional Training

Functional training is exactly as it sounds – traditional exercises and movement recreating a functional experience, such as being able to deliver a tennis ball across the net or climbing the stairs with groceries.

Examples of functional exercises could include:

  • Lunging walk with a medicine ball
  • Deep squats with a medicine ball and shoulder extensions
  • Up Down In Out Bird Dog or Quadruped Extensions
  • The list goes on…

Small Group Private Training

Working out with a friend can make a session go by faster, and you each pay less than if you were solo. Valerie offers private training (mat or functional) for up to 4 people in a session.

Rates

One hour session: $35 per person for 2-3 people, $25 per person for 4 people.

Cancellation Policy for Group Sessions

If there is a compelling reason to cancel the same day  i.e. the flu (really), a wreck, etc. that person is forgiven and the person(s) that shows pays the agreed upon price regardless. Should the no-show become chronic the remaining person(s) is then charged full price and will need to find a new partner to maintain their discount.

Advanced payment is required per package. Group sessions not available for booking online.

All of us will age. We can’t escape that as we grow older. However, we can choose to age well with intelligent exercise, therapeutic massage, and conscious nutrition. These are the three basic elements of fitness.
